I was raised Christian by my fantastic parents. Although I accepted Jesus as my Savior at a young age and was baptized some years later, my faith has never really progressed past the lukewarm stage--ominous shades of the church in Laodicea indeed. A recent internal struggle has spurred me to put my faith into action--and one of the first steps is rectifying and reestablishing my own relationship with God. This blog is an attempt to chronicle the endeavors, trials, and insights (however lame and shallow the last might be) on this life-long journey.
And I've always liked praying mantises; the painful pun of the blog's title was too easy to pass up.
